Should you switch to Motor Scooters?
It's no secret that the costs of petrol is sky rocketing. The parking woes, especially in big cities have also risen to unbearable expectations. And, with no signs of fuel prices coming down and end to their parking woes, many people are switching from their cars and trucks to motor scooters. In the recent times, there has been a significant growth in the motor scooters commuter's category. Motor Scooters are cost-effective, a little safer and are traffic friendly options. Some scooters can save you as high as 50 per cent of your fuel money in comparison to a car. Plus you get excellent mileage and a much lower insurance bill. And you can get enough space and anywhere to park it. So isn't switching to scooters make sense? Yes, it does and that's why many people have either switched or are on the way to buy a motor scooter.
The demand of Motor Scooters has led to the emergence of many models and varieties from leading manufacturers such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Vespa, Triumph and BMW. Generally these scooters can be divided in to two types- 50 cc and 125 cc scooters. However, some manufacturers have also come with scooters with more powerful scooters. A 50 cc scooter can go up to 30 miles per hour and is ideal for people who have to undertake short journeys within the city. A 125 cc scooter can push up to 50 or for some models above 60 miles per hour. The costs of these scooters vary depending on the make and model.
The ride on motor Scooters also comes with a few drawbacks. First, small wheels of the scooters makes it little difficult to control in bad weather conditions. Second, no more than 2 people can travel at a time which may be a problem for family with kids. Third, riding on a motor scooter means your clothes won't be clean. And, there are restrictions on what you should wear while riding. In spite of all these drawbacks, motor scooters attract riders. Look at the pros and cons and then make your mind on taking the motor scooter ride.
